Why Community Church?
What makes Community Church so special?
The natural inclination is to tell you about all of the great ministries that Community Church provides for all age groups and life situations. From infants to Senior Citizens, Community Church highly values sound ministries to every age group. It would be easy to go into our rich history and tell you stories about what God has done in the past. We could easily go into the ammenities we provide, the social action items we support, the future of the church, and much more.
The problem with that is, well, those things just aren't Community Church. When you strip it all away, Community Church is people.
One time in the Bible a man approaches Jesus and asks Him what the most important command in the Bible is. Many people were standing around wondering what would come out of Jesus' mouth. Actually, what came out is very simple. He said, in a nutshell, love God with everything you have and everything you are, and then love other people the same way.
What that little encounter from the Bible tells us is that the most important thing to God are relationships. First and foremost our relationship with Him, and secondly, our relationship with others. That's why at Community Church we spend a lot of time dealing with the practical, relational part of life.
So, why Community Church? Because it's about people. We want to encourage you to check out the "What We Believe" section of the web site. As you read through it you will notice that pretty much everything we do revolves around strengthening people. It's who we are.
